On September 28, Finland Center will hold its second fundraiser to benefit the invaluable humanitarian work of Dr. Denis Mukwege at the Panzi Hospital in Congo.
The Arctic Jungle Fashion Gala and Live Auction will showcase the work of up-and coming Finnish designers as well as collections from Nicole Miller, Anna Sui, Marimekko, and IVANAhelsinki. All featured clothing will be auctioned at a fraction of retail value. Top Finnish model Angelika Kallio, Academy and Tony Award-winning actress Marcia Gay Harden and Finnish design prodigy Paola Suhonen have all taken part in making this event a reality.
This celebration of cross-cultural cultural friendship and talent will be held at La Pomme from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm (37 West 26th Street). We still welcome both individual and corporate sponsors, donations of clothing by established fashion designers, as well as benefit committee members.
Sponsorship levels:
Platinum level $5000 and up: (includes tickets for 10 to the event)
Gold level: $2500-4999 (includes 7 tickets)
Silver level: $1000-2499 ( includes 4 tickets)
Bronze level: $500-999 (includes 2 tickets)
Donations can be sent to Finland Center Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, with a note that it is earmarked for the Panzi Project. Finland Center Foundation will retain 15% for our operational expenses, and all funds received will be tabulated on our website.
